I coordinate donations at Maple Refugee Centre in Guadalajara. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Guadalajara, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Maple Refugee Centre on Thursday between 9am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Maple Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Sending good thoughts, Raúl. Hope you get there.

    • a secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care

      • Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.

        • Hope it all works out. I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Kassel
