Donate a coat: Ramón is collecting for 42 families
A simple way to help: donate warm clothing for kids at Sycamore Refugee Centre.
🇺🇸 Durham, North Carolina, United States1,077 views
I coordinate donations at Sycamore Refugee Centre in Durham. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Durham, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Sycamore Refugee Centre on Thursday between 10am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Sycamore Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
