I coordinate donations at the Cedar Community Church in Cairo. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Cairo, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Cedar Community Church on Sunday between 9am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Cedar Community Church clothing bank, which is open to everyone. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Best of luck, Noor. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected

    • Best of luck. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My husband and I read this together. God bless.

      • Praying for you. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Cairo.
