I coordinate donations at the Liberty Mosque in San Antonio. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in San Antonio, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Liberty Mosque on Wednesday between 9am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Liberty Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Sending strength, Megan. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I'll check back for the next update.

    • Thinking of you, Megan. Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best.

      • Stay strong. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of San Antonio.
