Coats, boots, hats and gloves are needed before the rains.

I coordinate donations at the Union Mosque in Kikuyu. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Kikuyu, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Union Mosque on Thursday between 10am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Union Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I hope life is good to you.

Wishing you the best, Maina. Hope this works out for you
So sorry you're going through this, Maina. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Kikuyu.
