I coordinate donations at the Baobab Family Centre in Denver. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Denver, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Baobab Family Centre on Saturday between 9am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Baobab Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
thanks for sharing this, Luke. Shared it with a few friends. Thinking of Denver.
Sending love, Luke. Hope you get there!
Sending strength, Luke. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from London.
Good luck, Luke. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
