I coordinate donations at the Pioneer Mosque in Dar es Salaam. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Dar es Salaam, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Pioneer Mosque on Wednesday between 11am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Pioneer Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Best of luck, Lucy. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. My husband and I read this together.
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.
Hope it all works out, Lucy. Shared it with a few friends. Don't give up. God bless
Thinking of you and your family. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Thinking of Dar es Salaam.
Thinking of you and your family, Lucy. This could happen to any of us. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
