I coordinate donations at the Jacaranda Community Church in Accra. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Accra, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Jacaranda Community Church on Wednesday between 9am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Jacaranda Community Church clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Hope things get better soon, Kojo. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
praying for you. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Love from Riverside
Thinking of you and your family, Kojo. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Nairobi this morning. Love from Nairobi.
thanks for sharing this. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Greetings from Bristol
