I coordinate donations at Cedar Refugee Centre in Erie. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Erie, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Cedar Refugee Centre on Monday between 9am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Cedar Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Thanks for sharing this, Josefa. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Take care.

    • sending good thoughts, Josefa. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Erie.
