I coordinate donations at Harmony Refugee Centre in Guadalajara. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Guadalajara, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Harmony Refugee Centre on Thursday between 11am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Harmony Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • Thanks for sharing this, Jorge. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Put this on a community board in Siliguri this morning. Thinking of Guadalajara.

    • So sorry you're going through this, Jorge. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. God bless.
