I coordinate donations at Unity Refugee Centre in Hyderabad. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Hyderabad, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Unity Refugee Centre on Tuesday between 9am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Unity Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Hang in there, Harini. Hope you get there. All the best!

    • Best of luck. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Hyderabad

      • You're not alone, Harini. Hope this works out for you. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Blessings.

        • Wishing you peace, Harini. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too

          • Keep going, Harini. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Vadodara.
