A simple way to help: donate warm clothing for kids at the Acacia Family Centre.

I coordinate donations at the Acacia Family Centre in Dayton. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Dayton, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Acacia Family Centre on Saturday between 10am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Acacia Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hope things get better soon, Grayson. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better
Best of luck, Grayson. Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from Toronto.
