I coordinate donations at Unity Refugee Centre in Belo Horizonte. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Belo Horizonte, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Unity Refugee Centre on Friday between 11am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Unity Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Paris this morning
you're not alone. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless!
