Coats, boots, hats and gloves are needed before the cold snap.

I coordinate donations at the Acacia Family Centre in Duque de Caxias. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Duque de Caxias, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Acacia Family Centre on Wednesday between 10am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Acacia Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Duque de Caxias
Hang in there, Felipe. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Blessings
Good luck. Hope this works out for you. I have a 14 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Pietermaritzburg
Stay strong, Felipe. Looking forward to the next update. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings.
Praying for you, Felipe. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Love from Winston-Salem.
