I coordinate donations at the Liberty Mosque in Bekasi. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Bekasi, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Liberty Mosque on Thursday between 10am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Liberty Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

    • Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Bacolod this morning. Thinking of Bekasi.

      • Hang in there, Andi. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
