The heating account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $450. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $75 first, which I don't have. I live with three children under ten, and going through the cold months without heating isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $450 goes: • Heating arrears: $320 • Reconnection and late fees: $90 • Down payment on a payment plan: $40 If you're reading this, thank you. - Víctor
