Don't let Hatem's family go through summer without water

Hatem is behind on water bills after losing my job in August and needs $550 to avoid a shut-off.

The water account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $550. I have never been late before losing my job in August. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $50 first, which I don't have. I live with a disabled brother, and going through summer without water isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $550 goes: • Utility arrears: $380 • Reconnection and late fees: $110 • Down payment on a payment plan: $60 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Hatem

due date: 2026-10-21
bill type: Utility arrears
