The electricity and water account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on July unless I pay $700. I have never been late before a reduction in hours. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $130 first, which I don't have. I live with an elderly mother, and going through summer without electricity and water isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $700 goes: • Electricity arrears: $390 • Reconnection and late fees: $120 • Down payment on a payment plan: $190 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
