Does anyone know a tenant-rights lawyer willing to help for free? Aaliyah, San Francisco
Legal aid is overbooked; a few hours of professional help would change the outcome for Aaliyah.

I'm facing a custody dispute, with a hearing on August. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer.
I'm looking for a qualified tenant-rights lawyer licensed in California who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee.
I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in San Francisco or meet online.
I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

I live about 7 km from San Francisco. I can help at the weekend, tell me what you need. Free this month.

I hope things turn around soon. Wish I lived closer to Bengaluru so I could bring a meal.
Hope things get better soon, Aaliyah. Shared this with my family. Sent it to 21 people at work. Thinking of San Francisco.
Wishing you the best. This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
