Does anyone know a tenant-rights lawyer willing to help for free? Todd, San Jose
Looking for a pro bono tenant-rights lawyer in California for a case with a deadline in November.

I'm facing a benefits termination I'm appealing, with a hearing on November. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer.
I'm looking for a qualified tenant-rights lawyer licensed in California who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee.
I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in San Jose or meet online.
I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist.
Thank you so much.

it takes guts to ask. Well done. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.

hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Enugu donated after I showed her your page.
