I'm facing an unlawful eviction, with a hearing on October. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer. I'm looking for a qualified disability-rights advocate licensed in California who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee. I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in Bakersfield or meet online. I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist. Thank you for reading my story.

  • gave what I could, wish it was more. We're a small family in Alexandria but we're thinking of you. God bless.

    • Wishing you peace, Graciela. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.
