Does anyone know a consumer-debt lawyer willing to help for free? Masaru, Tokyo
Legal aid is overbooked; a few hours of professional help would change the outcome for Masaru.

I'm facing a debt-collection lawsuit I believe is invalid, with a hearing on April. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer.
I'm looking for a qualified consumer-debt lawyer licensed in Tokyo who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee.
I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in Tokyo or meet online.
I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist.
Thank you for reading my story.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Hamilton donated after I showed her your page.
Thanks for sharing this, Masaru. Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Scranton.
