Dhanush's final semester of a teaching qualification in Surat
Dhanush has worked and saved for three years to study a teaching qualification; a $350 gap now stands between him and graduation.
🇮🇳 Gujarat, India135 views
Dhanush is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at Surat Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $350.
The registrar has said Dhanush can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Dhanush has a first-class average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Dhanush would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Dhanush isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $350 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $310
• Exam and lab fees: $35
• Textbooks and materials: $5
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

You're not alone, Harini. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Belfast so I could bring a meal. Love from Jakarta.
