Dennis needs my motorbike repaired to get back to work in Ballarat
Dennis drives for a living in Ballarat, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 5 weeks.
🇦🇺 Ballarat, Victoria, Australia1,315 views
I make my living with my motorbike. 5 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,050. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $600
• Labor charges: $135
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $185
• Towing and inspection: $130
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope things get better soon, Dennis. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Ballarat.
