Delilah is four months into recovery and would welcome a mentor with lived experience.

I'm four months into recovery from gambling addiction. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week. I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like. I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Sending strength, Delilah. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care

    • Take care, Delilah. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.

      • Hope it all works out, Delilah. Shared this with my family. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings

Hang in there. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Rawalpindi

          • Wishing you the best, Delilah. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. After 15 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings.

            • stay strong. Wishing Delilah a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
