I'm Dalia, 18, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study architecture. I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at the local library and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work. I'm looking for an hour a week until October. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request. Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Keep going. Looking forward to the next update. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best

      • So sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.

        • Good luck. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Bellevue but we're thinking of you. Love from Bellevue

          • Rooting for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
