Could you share an hour a week with Yoga?

Looking for a friendly person in Jakarta to visit Yoga once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Yoga, who's 88. Yoga lives alone in Jakarta, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 779 kilometers away. Yoga loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Glad we found this place.

  • Hope things get better soon, Indah. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.

    • Rooting for you, Indah. Shared this with my family. Don't give up. Love from Tokyo.

      • Hope things get better soon. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.

        • You're not alone, Indah. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Memphis

          • hope it all works out, Indah. Hope you get there. Sent it to 20 people at work. God bless.

            • Hope it all works out. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Dhaka.
