Could you share an hour a week with Wolfgang?

Wolfgang lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Wolfgang, who's 74. Wolfgang lives alone in Düsseldorf, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Wolfgang loves knitting, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I hope life is good to you.

  • So sorry you're going through this, Elke. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 26 years in construction I know how hard it is to ask for anything
