Could you share an hour a week with Sung-min?
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Sung-min is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Sung-min, who's 78. Sung-min lives alone in Seongnam, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Sung-min loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Sending strength, Ji-yeon. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Please keep us posted. Love from Port Harcourt
Thinking of you and your family, Ji-yeon. Hope this works out for you.
Wishing you peace, Ji-yeon. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double!
Wishing you peace, Ji-yeon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
