Could you share an hour a week with Sophie?
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Sophie is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Sophie, who's 86. Sophie lives alone in Nuremberg, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives 374 kilometers away.
Sophie loves cricket, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Thank you for reading my story.

Take care, Karl. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Wish I lived closer to Manchester so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
Take care, Karl. I hope things turn around soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day
Good luck, Karl. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Quezon City.
