Could you share an hour a week with Quinn?

I'm writing for my neighbor Quinn, who's 86. Quinn lives alone in San Diego, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 319 kilometers away. Quinn loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
