Could you share an hour a week with Pamela?
Pamela lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Pamela, who's 83. Pamela lives alone in Southampton, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives several hours away.
Pamela loves cricket, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. God bless!
Sending good thoughts, Genesis. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Southampton
Good luck, Genesis. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Munich
Praying for you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Hope things get better soon. This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
Thanks for sharing this, Genesis. Your post was clear and honest. Blessings
