Could you share an hour a week with Omar?
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Omar is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Omar, who's 84. Omar lives alone in Casablanca, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Omar loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Wish I lived closer to Saint-Denis so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Multan.
Hope it all works out, Idris. Shared it with a few friends. My husband and I read this together.
Take care. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. After 17 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
Stay strong. Hope the doctors have good news. It's not much but it's yours
You're not alone. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Casablanca.
