Could you share an hour a week with Nicholas?
Nicholas lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Nicholas, who's 83. Nicholas lives alone in Allentown, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Nicholas loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

rooting for you, Cameron. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Thinking of Allentown
Thanks for sharing this. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Santa Fe.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Allentown.
Good luck, Cameron. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Take care.
sending good thoughts. Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Allentown.
