Could you share an hour a week with Maria?
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Maria is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Maria, who's 85. Maria lives alone in Bacoor, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Maria loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Thank you so much.

Hope the doctors have good news. We're a small family in Kharkiv but we're thinking of you. God bless.
hope things get better soon, Trisha. Shared it with a few friends. Take care
Thinking of you, Trisha. Get well soon. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out.
keep going, Trisha. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend
So sorry you're going through this, Trisha. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Udaipur.
Looking forward to the next update. Don't give up. Thinking of Bacoor.
