Could you share an hour a week with Landon?
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that is all Landon is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Landon, who's 84. Landon lives alone in Mobile, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Landon loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Tuesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Glad we found this place.
