Could you share an hour a week with Elke?
Looking for a friendly person in Berlin to visit Elke once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Elke, who's 89. Elke lives alone in Berlin, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Elke loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Praying for you. Wishing Elke a smooth procedure and a full recovery. After 15 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything
you're not alone, Florian. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
Thanks for sharing this, Florian. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless.
