Could you share an hour a week with Declan?
Declan lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Declan, who's 75. Declan lives alone in Kansas City, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Declan loves old films, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Thinking of you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless
I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry!
