Could you share an hour a week with Darshan?
Darshan lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Darshan, who's 88. Darshan lives alone in Mumbai, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 292 kilometers away.
Darshan loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. All the best
sending strength, Neha. Hope the doctors have good news. Put this on a community board in Tema this morning
Wishing you peace, Neha. I hope things turn around soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family, Neha. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I hope August is when things finally get easier.
Keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Buffalo.
Stay strong, Neha. Wishing Darshan a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Blessings.
