Could you share an hour a week with Brooks?
Looking for a friendly person in Miami to visit Brooks once a week.
🇺🇸 Miami, Florida, United States1,503 views
I'm writing for my neighbor Brooks, who's 93. Brooks lives alone in Miami, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Brooks loves knitting, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Best of luck, Maria. I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in Alcalá de Henares but we're thinking of you. All the best.
stay strong. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Miami.
Thinking of you, Maria. Shared this with my family.
Sending strength, Maria. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. All the best
Sending strength, Maria. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Miami
