Could you share an hour a week with Bakari?

Bakari lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

Kakamega
I'm writing for my neighbor Bakari, who's 86. Bakari lives alone in Kakamega, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 275 kilometers away. Bakari loves opera, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Thank you for reading my story.
