Could you share an hour a week with Anwar?
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Anwar is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Anwar, who's 72. Anwar lives alone in Mansoura, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Anwar loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Thank you for reading my story.
