Could you mentor a hospitality worker breaking into project management?
A mentor in project management could help Kimberly with a portfolio, interviews and first-job strategy.

I have worked as a hospitality worker for 6 years, and I'm 39. After my children starting school, I decided to move into project management, and I have completed a self-study course with a project portfolio.
What I'm missing is someone who has walked this path: feedback on my interview answers, a realistic view of the job market in California, and a sounding board when things feel overwhelming.
I'm hoping for one 45-minute video call a month for four months, plus the occasional email question. I'll bring specific questions and I won't waste your time.
All I can offer back is my thanks, and I'll mentor someone else once I'm settled.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending strength, Kimberly. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from San Francisco.
Thinking of you and your family. Hope you make a strong comeback.
Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Take care. Hope you make a strong comeback. Sent it to 26 people at work. God bless.
Thanks for sharing this, Kimberly. I hope things turn around soon.
