After a flood that wrecked my apartment, Simone needs a safe, quiet room in Santos for 3 months while getting back on their feet.

After a flood that wrecked my apartment, I'm temporarily without a home. I work as a bus driver in Santos and I have a steady income, but I can't find a place that will let me in without the first month, a deposit and references that I'm in the middle of replacing. I'm looking for a spare room for 3 months. I can pay $100 a month toward bills, I'm tidy and quiet, and I'd be happy to help with cooking, shopping or yard work. I have no pets, I don't smoke, and I have a landlord and employer references. I understand that inviting a stranger into your home is a big step. I'd be glad to meet in a public place first and to share my work details. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • a secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Wish I lived closer to Los Angeles so I could bring a meal.

    • sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. All the best.

      • shared it with a few friends. Love from Awka.

        • take care. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings

          • Hope it all works out, Simone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. It's not much but it's yours.
