Corazon needs a commercial oven to reopen a neighborhood bakery
A neighborhood bakery in Cebu City needs help replacing a commercial oven after floodwater.
🇵🇭 Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines1,219 views
For nine years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Cebu City. In August, floodwater took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $700 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $430
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $130
• Shop repairs and licensing: $60
• Working capital for the first month: $80
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Corazon.
Good luck. Hope the shop reopens soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
sending love, Corazon. I hope things turn around soon. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Cebu City
Small businesses are the heart of Cebu City. Hope you're open again soon. We're a small family in Derry but we're thinking of you

Rooting for you, Corazon. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Sent it to 40 people at work. Thinking of Cebu City.
