My niece, Julia, is 17 and in Grade 11. Julia loves school but computer science has been a struggle since the school was closed during the strikes. The national exam is in June.
We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in Birmingham or online, for about sixteen weeks.
Julia is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions.
If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in computer science, you could change the course of Julia's year.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Stay strong, Terry. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Bloemfontein
