My son, Barış, is 17 and in Grade 11. Barış loves school but computer science has been a struggle since the school was closed during the floods. The board exam is in February. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Leipzig or online, for about ten weeks. Barış is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in computer science, you could change the course of Barış's year. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • stay strong, Elif. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care
