Companionship wanted: Nafula's opera and a cup of tea

An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Nafula is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Nafula, who's 78. Nafula lives alone in Kasarani, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country. Nafula loves opera, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Tuesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
