Companion for Ama while I'm at work, Tema

Unpaid or low-cost help with Ama for a few hours each week would keep our family afloat.

I'm Mensah, and I look after my wife at home in Tema. Ama has poor mobility after a hip operation and should not be alone for long stretches. I work early shifts, and the gap on Wednesday and Friday afternoons is the hardest part of my week. What I need is someone calm and reliable to be in the house from about 1pm until 5pm. Mostly that means company, a cup of tea, lunch and a short walk if the weather is kind. No lifting and no medical care. Ama loves old photographs and will talk your ear off about it. I'm home before dark and will always leave the phone numbers of the doctor and a neighbor. I'd like to meet you first with Ama present, and I'm happy to give a reference from our neighbor. If you have done care work before, wonderful, but kindness matters more. I'll be so grateful for any help at all.

I am retired and have plenty of time. I could come for a few hours a week. Flexible on timing.

I do not have formal training but I am patient and I have lots of free time on Wednesday. Happy to give references. Flexible on timing.
