Collins needs a cold-storage unit to reopen a small grocery stall
A small grocery stall in Nairobi needs help replacing a cold-storage unit after a long illness and repossession.

For nine years I have run a small grocery stall in Nairobi. In August, a long illness and repossession took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $600 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $410
• Working capital for the first month: $130
• Shop repairs and licensing: $60

Hope things get better soon, Collins. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. It's not much but it's yours. All the best
I hope things turn around soon. Put this on a community board in Ogbomosho this morning.
sending good thoughts. This could happen to any of us. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Nairobi.
Thinking of you and your family, Collins. Small businesses are the heart of Nairobi. Hope you're open again soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.
